About Me
ADRIANA SOLDATTI - PÂTISSERIE & BAKERY CHEF, HOME BAKER
I'm Adriana, Brazilian, now a Michigander resident, married, mother, Pâtissier and Bakery Chef, from Doces Pastry and Bakery, I'm passionate about baking and cooking, travel, eating, handicraft and life, and I just decided that the time has come to give myself a chance to do what I genuinely love, sweeten the life around me, creating delicious new memories!
For those who don't know me, here's a little bit of my story...
I am a nutrition technician, but I graduated in business administration and accounting with an MBA in Business Management. After more than 20 years, of working for some multinationals, playing various roles, I consolidated my career in the financial area, and even now I'm moving and starting over in a new country, I was working in this area.
I usually have my friends around my kitchen island while I cook or bake, starting without any technique but with a lot of courage and passion.
I was always proud of my friend, that find a way to reconnect her and her career baking from home, and as a person who used baking as therapy, I know how to recognize this special talent, persistence, and hard work of hers.
Moving to Michigan I met a person that I have as a mentor and friend. She baked so many delicious and beautiful cakes “Baked with Love”, and created so many good memories, that made me reconnect with my memories and family roots and in a way the desire to recreate a new path.
She left me with open doors to opportunity and courage, the new chapter of something that I always wanted but was concerned about, but certainly that I can restart by offering something like creating new memories around the table.
And after that decision, many many courses and practices were done, with Brazilian most prestigious Chefs, and one more achievement, my Degree in Pastry and Bakery from Auguste Escoffier School Of Culinary Arts! This preparation was necessary to allow me to provide you with my best.
My Mother Edith and my Grandmothers, my friends Luciene Pacheco & Mel Marin, thank you so much to be the light of inspiration for me, and a very special thanks to my lovely Husband Eduardo, and my little daughter Maya, for always providing me unconditionally support even at the craziest decisions and in special the hard time we're off working full time, practicing, studying and becoming an entrepreneur.
